The United Religions Initiative – North America is one of eight administrative regions of United Religions Initiative, the world’s largest grassroots interfaith peacebuilding network with over 900 member organizations in more than 100 countries worldwide. In the North America region, which includes Canada and the United States, there are over 100 member organizations across 29 states and provinces and the District of Columbia. URI members are working to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings. URI North America Leadership Council
In 2009, a Leadership Council was formed from members of URI CCs to serve in guiding the development of a region-wide organization intended to provide support for the growth and strengthening of URI throughout North America. Since then, the region has established itself as a corporation and has been approved as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 charitable organization by the US Internal Revenue Service.

Start Your Own Cooperation Circle (CC) or become an Affiliate
URI adds 10 to 12 new Cooperation Circles each month. In its 11th anniversary year, the number of CCs is 550 in 79 countries. The process of forming a new Cooperation Circle is fairly straightforward. To become an individual or organizational Affiliate is an even simpler!
